The Smile Has Left Your Eyes berkisah tentang dua orang yang ditakdirkan untuk bertemu dan terus-menerus berpapasan di kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Park Sung-woong berperan sebagai Yoo Jin-gook, detektif yang menangani kasus pembunuhan mahasiswi. Yoo Jin-gook mencurigai Kim Moo-young (Seo In-guk) berkaitan dengan kasus tersebut. Keadaan menjadi rumit ketika adik Yoo Jin-gook, yaitu Yoo Jin-kang (Jung So-min), jatuh cinta dengan Kim Moo-young. Sedangkan Seo Eun-soo berperan sebagai Baek-Seung-ah, seorang anak perempuan dari keluarga kaya yang terlibat dalam industri distribusi.

The Smile Has Left Your Eyes tells about two people who are destined to meet and constantly run into their daily lives. Park Sung-woong plays the role of Yoo Jin-gook, a detective who handles female student murder case. Yoo Jin-gook suspects that Kim Moo-young (Seo In-guk) is related to the case. Things get complicated when Yoo Jin-gook's sister, Yoo Jin-kang (Jung So-min), falls in love with Kim Moo-young. While Seo Eun-soo plays Baek-Seung-ah, a daughter from a wealthy family involved in the distribution industry.

Terus terang, MrsBuckwheat belum nonton drama misteri ini. Sebenarnya drama ini masuk daftar wajib tonton tapi gue masih bingung mau nonton sekarang atau lebih baik nonton drama lainnya yang genrenya lebih menyegarkan dulu. Drama misteri lebih cepat ditonton lebih baik. Karena kalau sampai terlambat nonton, bisa-bisa malah dapat spoiler. Kebetulan sekali di V LIVE ada video early interviewnya The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. Gue tonton saja daripada penasaran.

Frankly, Mrs.Buckwheat hasn't watched this mystery drama. Actually, this drama is included in my list, but I am still confused about watching it now or later. Mystery dramas are better watched as soon as possible. Because if you watch it late, you may get spoilers from anywhere. Coincidentally, V LIVE has a video of early interview with The Smile Has Left Your Eyes' casts. I just watch it rather than curious.

Begitu ngelihat set ruangannya yang homey banget, gue langsung jatuh cinta. Gue paling suka dengan acara bincang-bincang dengan suasana yang akrab dan hangat. Apalagi kalau ada acara makan bersamanya ha-ha..

As soon as I saw the room set that was really homey, I immediately fell in love. I like a talk show with the familiar and warm atmosphere. Especially if there is an eating together session ha-ha ...


Saat keempat aktor memasuki ruangan, mereka disuguhi dengan makan malam dan sebuah kartu dari K, yang bertuliskan bahwa mereka harus menyalakan TV yang ada di ruangan itu. Dan ternyata K ini adalah host yang memandu acara lewat TV. Unik ya? Jadi keinget sama segmen Talking Mirror-nya Get It Beauty. Sang host mempersilahkan para aktor memperkenalkan diri dan karakter yang mereka perankan, yang tentu saja dimulai dari Park Sung-woong.

When the four actors entered the room, they were treated to dinner and a card from K, which read that they had to turn on the TV.  And it turns out that this K is the host who guides the program via TV. It's so unique, isn't it? It makes me remember about the Talking Mirror segment in Get It Beauty. The host invited the actors to introduce themselves and the characters they played, which of course began with Park Sung-woong.


Setelah itu, K menanyakan apa kesan pertama mereka tentang hari ini? Rata-rata mengatakan bahwa mereka merasa excited dan sedikit gugup. Seo Eun-soo bahkan sempat merasa sangat gugup. K menginfokan bahwa acara ini sedang disiarkan langsung di V LIVE. V heart yang diperoleh sudah lebih dari 2 juta sejak acara dimulai. Seo In-guk dan Seo Eun-soo membacakan beberapa komentar penonton, termasuk sebuah komentar yang mengatakan bahwa Park Sung-woong terlihat cute. Ha-ha, yang dibilang cute hanya bisa tersenyum malu.

After that, K asks what is their first impression about today? On average said that they feel excited and a little nervous. Seo Eun-soo even felt very nervous. Then, K informs them that this event is being broadcast live on V LIVE. The heart gained more than 2 million since the event began. Seo In-guk and Seo Eun-soo read some audience comments, including a comment saying that Park Sung-woong looked cute. Ha-ha, Park Sung-woong can only smile shyly.


Acara bincang-bincang ini memang berbeda dan tidak membosankan. Gue sempat khawatir bakal mengantuk karena suasananya yang santai. Tapi ternyata ada games! Yay! Games pertama, yaitu menjawab pertanyaan dengan suku kata sebanyak angka dadu yang dilemparkan. Cukup sulit ya sepertinya...

This talk show is different and not boring. I was worried about going to sleep because of the relaxed atmosphere. But apparently there are games! Yay! The first game, which is answering questions with syllables as many as numbers of dice thrown. It sounds hard enough ...

Games kedua, para aktor harus memilih satu aktor yang paling sesuai dengan pernyataan yang dibacakan oleh K. Melihat jawaban mereka yang selalu kompak, gue rasa mereka memang benar-benar akrab. Apalagi interaksinya selalu dipenuhi gelak tawa. Yang bikin gue jadi ikut cekikikan.

The second game, the actors must choose one actor that best matches the statement read by K. Seeing their always absolute answers, I think they are really close to each other. Moreover, the interaction is always filled with laughter, which makes me giggle.


Games terakhir adalah menggambar isi pikiran karakter masing-masing di The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. Ini games favorit gue. Dari semua kata-kata dan penjelasan, brainstorming isi pikiranlah yang paling jelas menjabarkan karakter-karakter di The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.

Melihat jawaban mereka, sepertinya yang paling rumit adalah pikiran Kim Moo-young (paling kanan). Dan yang paling sederhana yaitu pikiran Baek Seung-ah. Sepertinya Baek Seung-ah ini memang innocent dan menyukai Kim Moo-young dengan tulus.

The last game is drawing the contents of each character's thoughts in The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. This is my favorite game. Of all the words and explanations, brainstorm the contents of the mind that most clearly describes the characters in The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.

Seeing their answers, it seems the most complicated is the mind of Kim Moo-young (far right). And the simplest is the mind of Baek Seung-ah. It seems like Baek Seung-ah is indeed innocent and likes Kim Moo-young sincerely.


Giliran K untuk menunjukkan isi pikirannya. Isinya... dia ingin cepat pulang malam itu! Jung So-min mematikan TV dan mereka berempat beralih ke sesi panggilan video. Walaupun mereka masih tidak tahu apa yang harus dilakukan, jumlah V heart telah mencapai lebih dari 5 juta. Akhirnya mereka sepakat untuk menunjukkan aegyo bersama-sama. Tapi ternyata itu tidak cukup, ada penonton yang menyarankan aegyo "ukukaka". Spontan Park Jung-woong mendemonstrasikannya. Sukses membuat Seo In-guk tak bisa berkata-kata. Sementara Jung So-min dan Seo Eun-soo tertawa karena geli. Pada akhirnya, Seo In-guk juga memperagakan aegyo khusus untuk para penonton.

It was K's turn to show his thoughts. The contents were... he wanted to go home faster that night!  Jung So-min turned off the TV and the four of them switched to a video call session. Even though they still don't know what to do, the number of V hearts has reached more than 5 million. Finally they agreed to demonstrate aegyo together. But apparently it was not enough, there was an audience who suggested aegyo "ukukaka". Spontaneously, Park Jung-woong demonstrated it. Success in making Seo In-guk speechless. While Jung So-min and Seo Eun-soo burst out laughing. In the end, Seo In-guk relented and did aegyo especially for the audiences.

Gue suka banget acara ini. Percaya tidak? Hanya dengan menonton 5 menit pertama, gue sudah memutuskan untuk segera menonton The Smile Has Left Her Eyes. Park Jung-woong, Jung So-min, Seo In-guk, dan Seo Eun-soo terlihat sangat familiar dan menyenangkan. Mereka membuat saya siap menerima alur cerita apapun yang akan diberikan.

I really like this show. Believe it not? Just by watching the first 5 minutes, I have decided to immediately watch The Smile Has Left Her Eyes. Park Jung-woong, Jung So-min, Seo In-guk, and Seo Eun-soo looks very familiar and fun in this cozy interview. They make me ready on any story the drama will throw.
