Masih mengeksplor harta karun di antara web drama Korea, mrsBuckwheat akhirnya menemukan satu lagi drama yang dia suka. Yaitu, My First First Love (Chossarangeun Cheoeumiraseo). Sengaja nggak baca sinopsisnya supaya lebih seru nontonnya. Berharap ceritanya jauh dari ending klasik yang sering ditemukan di drama TV.

My First First Love... "First"-nya memang dua kali ya. Mungkin maksudnya yang PALING pertama dari yang pertama. Terus terang mrsBuckwheat juga nggak tahu siapa cinta pertamanya, apalagi yang pertama dari yang pertama. Hm.. Mungkin yang itu *nggak yakin*. Ya, kayaknya yang itu deh *masih nggak yakin*.

Walaupun mrsBuckwheat nggak baca sinopsis, khusus buat kamu paket komplit deh. Nggak cuma sinopsis, spoiler sampai ending-nya kalau perlu mrsBuckwheat beberkan di sini. LOL.

Still exploring treasures among Korean web dramas, mrsBuckwheat finally found another web drama she liked. It is My First First Love (Chossarangeun Cheoeumiraseo). She deliberately didn't read the synopsis so it was more fun to watch, expecting the story to be far from the classic ending that is often found in TV dramas.

My First First Love ... "First" is indeed typed twice. Maybe first first love is the MOST first from the first. The first ever. Frankly, Mrs.Buckwheat also doesn't know who was her first love, especially the first from the first. Hm ... Maybe that person *not sure*. Yes, it seems that it was him *still unsure *.

Yoon Tae-oh (Ji Soo) berulang tahun yang ke-20. Meskipun dirayakan dengan makan malam mewah, orang tua Ji Soo tidak membawa hadiah apapun untuknya. Ayah Ji Soo mengatakan bahwa Tae-oh memiliki kartu kredit darinya, jadi apa pentingnya kado ulang tahun. Tidak tersinggung, Tae-oh tetap ceria dan menikmati makan malamnya. Tapi ia meminta rumah peninggalan kakeknya untuk ditinggali. Permintaan itu akhirnya diiyakan ayah Tae-oh dengan syarat beliau akan berkunjung seminggu sekali untuk memeriksan apakah Tae-oh membawa teman perempuannya ke sana.

Kenyataannya, sebulan berlalu tanpa kunjungan sang Ayah.

Yoon Tae-oh (Ji Soo) has his 20th birthday. Even though it's celebrated with a fancy dinner, Ji Soo's parents don't bring any gifts for him. Ji Soo's father says that Tae-oh has a credit card from him, so what is the importance of a birthday present. Not offended, Tae-oh stays cheerful and enjoys his dinner. But he asks for his grandfather's old house to live in. The request was finally agreed by Tae-oh's father on condition that he would visit once a week to check whether Tae-oh bring his girlfriend there.

In fact, a month passed without the father's visit.


Kekhawatiran ayah Tae-oh memang masuk akal. Pada suatu malam, datanglah tiga pembawa masalah, alias teman-teman Tae-oh yang sama-sama membutuhkan tempat tinggal, ke rumah itu.  Choi Hoon, teman SD Tae-oh yang diusir oleh ayahnya. Oh Ga-rin, anak dari teman orangtua Tae-oh yang kabur dari bandara. Dan, Han Song-yi, sahabat sejak kecil Tae-oh yang mendadak tidak punya rumah. Mereka bertiga bukan cuma numpang sementara di rumah Tae-oh tapi mau tinggal di sana selamanya. Permanen. O'ow..

Di waktu yang sama di tempat yang berbeda, Tae-oh bertemu dengan seorang gadis. Benar-benar tipe idealnya, cantik, menyukai fotografi, videografi, dan punya selera fashion mutakhir. Bisakah Tae-oh mendapatkan hati gadis itu? Sementara pertemuan mereka terganggu oleh telpon dari Do-hyeon, teman kuliah Tae-oh yang kewalahan dengan datangnya Choi Hoon, Oh Ga-rin, dan Han Song-yi.

Tae-oh's father concern makes sense. One night, three trouble makers, aka Tae-oh friends who need a place to live, arrive at that house. Choi Hoon, Tae-oh's elementary school friend who was expelled from home by his father. Oh Ga-rin, the daughter of Tae-oh's parents' friend who ran away from the airport. And, Han Song-yi, Tae-oh's best friend since childhood who suddenly has no home. The three of them not only hitched a while at Tae-oh's house but wanted to stay there forever. Permanently. Ouch..

At the same time in a different place, Tae-oh meets a girl. She matches his ideal type who is beautiful, likes photography, videography, and has the latest fashion sense. Can Tae-oh get the girl's heart? While their meeting is interrupted by a call from Do-hyeon, Tae-oh's classmate who is overwhelmed by the sudden arrival of Choi Hoon, Oh Ga-rin, and Han Song-yi.

Yoon Tae-oh diperankan oleh Ji Soo / Ji Soo as Yoon Tae-oh.

MrsBuckwheat pertama kali nonton Ji Soo di Cheer Up! Lalu di Candy's in My Ear dan Strong Woman Do Bong-soon. Dari semua karakternya, mrsBuckwheat paling suka Yoon Tae-oh. Karena mata monolid Ji Soo ikut tersenyum setiap kali Yoon Tae-oh tersenyum, karakternya terasa lebih nyata dibanding tokoh-tokoh yang ia perankan sebelumnya.

Tae-oh berasal dari keluarga yang cukup kaya. Kepribadiannya hangat, ceria, easy going, dan setia kawan. Ia dan Song-yi sudah bersahabat sejak SD. Hampir semua permintaan Song-yi tidak mampu ia bantah. Beberapa kali ia merasa menyukai sahabatnya itu walaupun selalu kembali netral. Sementara ia merasa mengetahui semua tentang Song-yi, sahabatnya itu justru menyimpan banyak rahasia. Suatu malam secara tidak sengaja Tae-oh bertemu Ryu Se-hyeon. Perlahan, Ryu Se-hyeon terlihat semakin keren dan Han Song-yi terlihat semakin cantik di mata Tae-oh.

Mrs. Buckwheat first watched Ji Soo on Cheer Up! Then on Candy's in My Ear and Strong Woman Do Bong-soon. Among all of his characters, Mrs.Buckwheat likes Yoon Tae-oh the most. Because Ji Soo's monolid eyes are smiling every time Yoon Tae-oh smiles, his character feels more real than the other characters he played before.

Tae-oh comes from a family that is quite rich. His personality is warm, cheerful, easy going, and loyal to his friends. He and Song-yi have been friends since elementary school. Almost all of Song-yi's requests are fulfilled by him. Sometimes he thought that he had a crush on her but the feeling was always naturally neutralized. While he feels that he knows all about Song-yi, she keeps many secrets from him. One night accidentally Tae-oh meets Ryu Se-hyeon. And slowly, Ryu Se-hyeon looks even cooler and Han Song-yi looks even more beautiful in Tae-oh's eyes.

Seo Do-hyun diperankan oleh Jung Jin-young / Jung Jin-young as Seo Do-hyun.

Tidak seperti Tae-oh, Choi Hoon, dan Ga-rin yang berasal dari keluarga berada, Seo Do-hyun memilih belajar dan bekerja semaksimal mungkin. Teman sekampus Tae-oh ini punya banyak kerja sampingan. Terlepas dari kesibukan dan masalahnya, Seo Do-hyun jarang sekali mengeluh dan emosinya selalu terkontrol dengan baik.

Do-hyun memiliki kepribadian yang tenang, rasional, dewasa, sopan, dan ramah. Ia tidak terlalu banyak bicara kecuali dengan orang yang akrab dengannya. Ia dan Han Song-yi menjadi dekat setelah sering tidak sengaja bertemu.

Unlike Tae-oh, Choi Hoon, and Ga-rin who are from rich families, Seo Do-hyun chooses to study and work as diligent as he can. He has a lot of jobs. Apart from his tight schedule and his problems, Seo Do-hyun rarely complains and his emotions are always well controlled.

Do-hyun has a calm, rational, mature, polite and friendly personality. He doesn't talk too much except with people who are close to him. He and Han Song-yi become close after often meeting coincidentally.

Han Song-yi diperankan oleh Jung Chae-yeon / Jung Chae-yeon as Han Song-yi.

Pertama menonton, MrsBuckwheat berpikir bahwa Han Song-yi adalah yang paling kurang beruntung di antara tokoh-tokoh lainnya. Ayahnya meninggal saat ia masih SMA dan ibunya pergi entah kemana, meninggalkan Song-yi dengan rumah yang telah masuk dalam daftar lelang. Ketika Song-yi kehilangan rumahnya, mrsBuckwheat semakin pesimis, apalagi saat Tae-oh bertemu Ryu Se-hyun. Akankah sekali lagi Song-yi ditinggalkan?

Pada dasarnya, Song-yi berpembawaan tenang, ramah, rajin, dan agak tertutup. Dari semua karakter, sepertinya karakter Song-yi paling banyak berkembang. Di awal cerita, ia selalu sangat santai meminta Tae-oh melakukan hal-hal kecil (dan menutupi hal-hal besar). Lama kelamaan, Song-yi menjadi lebih pengertian dan lebih terbuka terutama kepada Seo Do-hyeon.

At first, Mrs. Buckwheat thought that Han Song-yi was the unluckiest among the other characters. Her father died when she was in high school and her mother run away, leaving Song-yi with a house that has been on the auction list. When Song-yi loses her home, Mrs. Buckwheat becomes more pessimistic, especially when Tae-oh meets Ryu Se-hyun. Will Song-yi once again be abandoned?

Basically, Song-yi is calm, friendly, diligent, and somewhat introvert. It seems Song-yi character is the most developed in this drama. At the beginning of the story, she is always freely asking Tae-oh to do small things, and she is always covering up her bigger problems. In the end, Song-yi becomes more understanding and more open especially to Seo Do-hyeon.

Choi Hoon diperankan oleh Kang Tae-oh / Kang Tae-oh as Choi Hoon.

Sebelum diusir dari rumah mengenakan gaun dan high heels ibunya, Choi Hoon tertangkap basah sedang menyanyi di pernikahan anak atasan sang ayah. Choi Hoon dan Tae-oh sudah mengenal sejak SD tapi baru dekat setelah keduanya kuliah. Ingin mengejar mimpinya sebagai pemain musikal teater, Choi Hoon berhenti kuliah. Ia mengikuti banyak audisi dan bekerja sebagai figuran.

Ketika Choi Hoon hanya sebagai Choi Hoon, ia benar-benar berantakan. Toh, semangatnya patut ditiru. Sering gagal atau malah bisa dibilang belum pernah berhasil tidak membuat Choi Hoon putus asa. Di kala sedih, kecewa, khawatir, dan bingung, Choi Hoon tetap menjadi Choi Hoon. Ia merasa berguna ketika berada di dekat Han Ga-rin meski terkadang ia ingin menukar Ga-rin dengan uang.

Before being kicked out from his home wearing his mother's dress and high heels, Choi Hoon was caught singing at a wedding party by his parents. Choi Hoon and Tae-oh has known each other since elementary school. Wanting to pursue his dream as a musical actor, Choi Hoon dropped out from college. He participates in many auditions and works as extras.

When Choi Hoon as Choi Hoon, he is truly a mess. After all, his enthusiasm should be praised. Although he has never passed an audition, doesn't make Choi Hoon desperate. When he feels sad, disappointed, worried, and confused, Choi Hoon remains Choi Hoon. He feels useful when he is with Han Ga-rin even though sometimes he wants to exchange Ga-rin with money.

Oh Ga-rin diperankan oleh Choi Ri / Choi Ri as Oh Ga-rin.

Nah, ini adalah karakter favorit mrsBuckwheat *nyengir*. Merasa terkekang dan ingin mengenal dunia luar, Oh Ga-rin melarikan diri dari bandara. Tidak lupa ia menulis surat untuk ibunya supaya tidak perlu khawatir, ia akan menginap di rumah temannya. Ibu Ga-rin semakin khawatir karena Ga-rin tidak punya teman.

Berasal dari keluarga super kaya, Oh Ga-rin berpenampilan bak putri raja. Alih-alih sombong dan kasar, Ga-rin sangat sopan, polos, positif, dan lapar. Ia lapar akan pengalaman baru dan makanan baru. Melihat Oh Ga-rin menikmati ramen dan tteokbokki, MrsBuckwheat seperti bercermin (Sstt.. tenang...., MrsBuckwheat sadar kalau nggak secantik Oh Ga-rin kok hehehe...). Ia dekat dengan Choi Hoon dan mengganggapnya sebagai teman baik.

Well, this is mrsBuckwheat's favorite character *grin*. Feeling confined and wanting to know the outside world, Oh Ga-rin escaped from the airport. She wrote a letter to her mother so that she doesn't need to worry. Ga-rin said that she would stay at her friend's house. Reading the letter, Ga-rin's mother becomes more worried because Ga-rin doesn't have friends.

Coming from a super-rich family, Oh Ga-rin looks like a princess. Instead of being arrogant and rude, Ga-rin is very polite, innocent, positive, and starving. She is hungry for new experiences and new foods. Watching Oh Ga-rin enjoying ramen and tteokbokki, Mrs. Buckwheat feels like watching her own self on a mirror (Shhh... Calm down... Mrs. Buckwheat realizes that she is not as beautiful as Oh Ga-rin, ha-ha). She is close to Choi Hoon and considers him as a good friend.

Your words can be your best friends, or your worst enemy. And so does your assumptions.

Akibat asumsinya, Tae-oh mengalami pergumulannya sendiri antara Ryu Se-hyeon dan Han Song-yi. Memang bukan salah Tae-oh, ia hanya tidak mendapat informasi lengkap. Padahal Han Song-yi sudah sangat yakin dengan perasaannya terhadap Seo Do-hyeon yang belum juga memberi kepastian. Sedangkan, Seo Do-hyeon masih menimbang-nimbang apakah ia mampu memulai sebuah hubungan. Keduanya menjadi semakin dekat tanpa diketahui Yoon Tae-oh.

Oh Ga-rin semakin bersemangat untuk bekerja dan menjadi mandiri. Ia tidak mau mengandalkan bergepok-gepok uang tunai yang ia bawa dari rumahnya. Di lain pihak, Choi Hoon mulai mempertanyakan masa depan dan bakatnya sebagai aktor musikal bahkan tergoda untuk menukar Ga-rin dengan uang.

Keunggulan My First First Love terletak di kedalaman karakter, jalan cerita, dan endingnya. Setiap karakter disuguhkan secara detail dari segi latar belakang, ekspresi, dan kesehariannya. Dan bagusnya lagi drama ini tanpa perkelahian di antara teman. Terasa positif dan hangat, mengingatkan gue akan Reply 1988.

As a result of assuming, Tae-oh experienced his own struggle between Ryu Se-hyeon and Han Song-yi. It's not fully Tae-oh's fault, he just doesn't get the complete information. On the other side, Han Song-yi has been very sure about her feelings towards Seo Do-hyeon. The two become closer behind Yoon Tae-oh.

Oh Ga-rin is getting excited to work and become independent. She doesn't want to rely on her enormous cash which she brought from her home. On the other hand, Choi Hoon begins to question his future and his talent as a musical actor. He is even tempted to exchange Ga-rin with money.

The plus points of My First First Love lie in the depth of its characters, storyline, and ending. Each character is presented in detail in terms of background, expression, and daily life. And the good thing is this drama has no fights between friends. It's positive and warm, reminding me of Reply 1988.

P.S: Menurut om Google, cinta pertama itu adalah cinta yang pertama dan yang paling susah. Dan yang dimaksud "first first love" mungkin taksiran pertama. Jadi contohnya, cinta pertama mrsBuckwheat adalah cowok yang sukses membuat dia patah hati selama 8 tahun dan masih tega minta untuk tetap berteman seterusnya.
