Quick Sharing: Menumbuhkan Rambut

Selamat pagi! Di sini mrsBuckwheat ingin berbagi pengalaman menumbuhkan kembali rambutnya yang sempat pitak. Oiya, judulnya "Quick Sharing" bukan "Quick Tips" karena gue takut pembaca bakal salah tangkap mengira tips ini akan bekerja secara MAGIC, sekejap rambut pun tumbuh! Oh, tidak...bukan begitu... "Quick" di sini maksudnya, gue mengetik postingan ini dengan sangat cepat LOL.

Good morning! Here Mrs.Buckwheat wants to share her experience of regrowing her hair, which had been almost bald. Oh yes, the title "Quick Sharing" is not "Quick Tips" because I am afraid the reader will get the wrong message, thinking these tips will work MAGICALLY, hoping the hair will grow in a second! Oh, no ... that's not it ... "Quick" here means, I typed this post very quickly LOL.

Awal Desember lalu, gue terpaksa memotong rambut gue nyaris cepak. Sebabnya..tidak perlu diceritakan di sini, yang pasti bukan kerontokan. Di salon, sang kapster berkata bahwa kepala gue sudah pitak di beberapa area, termasuk di bagian garis rambut, yang memang gue sadari. Rambut gue mulai rontok sejak melahirkan V. Orang-orang bilang konon setelah lahiran anak cowok, rambut ibunya biasanya banyak rontok. Entah kenapa mereka bilang begitu.... Mungkin karena tangan-tangan imut lucu itu yang kalau lihat rambut bawaannya langsung narik sekuat tenaga.

Early last December, I was forced to cut my hair very short. The reason ... doesn't need to be told here, which is definitely not a natural hair loss. At the salon, the hairdresser said that my head had been bald in several areas, including in the hairline, which I realized. My hair began to fall out since I giving birth to V. People said that after the birth of a boy, his mother's hair usually fell a lot. I dunno why did they say that ... Maybe it's because of those cute tiny and chubby hands that really can't resist to immediately pull hair in all their strength whenever they see it.

Singkat cerita, rambut gue dipotong lebih pendek daripada referensi model, tentu saja oleh sang kapster yang baik. Dan, membuat gue menangisinya berhari-hari. Sebelumnya gue pakai sampo Mane 'n Tail yang lumayan cepat memanjangkan rambut tapi rupanya nggak banyak menumbuhkan rambut baru. Sementara pendek ataupun panjang, rambut gue tetap rontok.

In short, I had my hair cut shorter than the reference model, of course by the nice hairdresser (she was actually a nice person). And, it made me cry for days. Previously, I used Mane 'n Tail shampoo which was quite fast to lengthen my hair but apparently it didn't grow much new hair. While short or long, my hair still falls out.

Untungnya, rambut gue cukup cocok dengan perpaduan 2 jenis produk ini. 
Pertama, sampo Daeng Gi Meo Ri for Damage Hair (untuk rambut rusak)
Kedua, minyak rambut, yaitu: minyak zaitun (pure) dan minyak kelapa (extra virgin coconut oil).

Fortunately, my hair is quite compatible with this combination of 2 types of products.
First, shampoo Daeng Gi Meo Ri for Hair Damage (for damaged hair)
Second, hair oil: olive oil (pure) and coconut oil (extra virgin coconut oil).

Mulanya, gue hanya memakai sampo Daeng Gi Meo Ri for Damage Hair saja (setiap hari) sambil mencari-cari referensi perawatan rambut. Sama sekali nggak kepikiran bakal menumbuhkan rambut. Cuma sedikit berharap semoga rambut lebih kuat sampai gue menemukan solusi. Setelah sebulan pemakaian, waktu sedang berkaca, kelihatan banget banyak anak rambut yang tumbuh di garis rambut (hairline). Terharu lihatnya, hiks...

Initially, I only used Daeng Gi Meo Ri shampoo for Damage Hair only (every day) while looking for hair care references. I didn't expect it would grow my hair. Just a little hope that my hair will be stronger until I find a solution. After a month of use, when I was in the mirror, I saw there were a lot of baby hairs on my hairline. I was really moved to see it *sob*.

Nah sejak itu, gue juga memakai minyak zaitun atau minyak kelapa atau campuran keduanya beberapa jam sebelum cuci rambut. Tahap-tahap "ritual" gue sebagai berikut:
  1. Oleskan minyak di kepala sedikit demi sedikit, di kulit kepala dan juga batang rambut.
  2. Pijat perlahan.
  3. Bungkus rambut dengan haircap agar tidak mengenai wajah. (Rambut gue biasanya gue ikat longgar dengan karet rambut yang seperti kabel telepon).
  4. Diamkan beberapa jam atau semalaman.
  5. Cuci rambut dengan air bersih sampai minyak berkurang.
  6. Tuangkan sampo Daeng Gi Meo Ri sebesar koin di telapak tangan.
  7. Beri sedikit air. Gosok sampai berbusa, lalu ratakan di kepala.
  8. Diamkan selama 3 menit dan bilas sampai bersih.
  9. Ulang tahap 6 sampai 8.
  10. Tekan perlahan rambut dengan handuk untuk menyerap kelebihan air.
  11. Keringkan rambut dengan alami (Gue biasanya pakai kipas angin kecil portable)
  12. Hanya sisir rambut setelah betul-betul kering (Gue sisir dengan jari saja, praktis ya punya rambut pendek *nyengir*)
Well since then, I also use olive oil or coconut oil or a mixture of both, a few hours before washing my hair. My "ritual" steps are as follows:
  1. Apply oil on the head little by little, on the scalp and hair shaft.
  2. Massage slowly.
  3. Wrap the hair with haircap so it doesn't hit the face. (I usually tie my hair loosely with a hair band which looks like a telephone cord).
  4. Let it for a few hours or overnight.
  5. Wash your hair with clean water until the oil is reduced.
  6. Pour the Daeng Gi Meo Ri shampoo as big as a coin in the palm.
  7. Give a little water. Rub until foamy, then spread on the head.
  8. Let it for 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
  9. Repeat steps 6 to 8.
  10. Gently press hair with a towel to absorb excess water.
  11. Dry your hair naturally (I usually use a portable small fan)
  12. Only comb your hair after it is completely dry (I just comb with my fingers, practically I have short hair *grin*)

Gue lakukan 12 tahap di atas setiap hari. Juga, pastikan:
  1. Tidak mengoles minyak berlebihan
  2. Mencuci rambut dengan bersih
  3. Mencuci haircap/tali rambut setelahnya
  4. Tidak mengikat rambut dengan kencang
  5. Tidak menggosok rambut dengan handuk
  6. Tidak memakai hair dryer panas
  7. Menghentikan cara ini jika muncul keluhan baru.
I do the 12 steps above every day. Also, make sure:
  1. Do not put too much oil
  2. Wash your hair cleanly
  3. Wash the hair cap / hair tie afterwards
  4. Do not tie your hair tightly
  5. Don't rub your hair with a towel
  6. Don't use a hot hair dryer
  7. Stop this method if new complaints arise.
Terus gimana dong kalau terlanjur terlalu banyak menuangkan minyak di tangan? Gampang, oleskan sedikit ke alis menggunakan cotton bud. Sejak berturut-turut kehilangan pensil alis, gue rajin memakai minyak zaitun/kemiri di alis, membiarkannya tumbuh jadi untamed brows, dan memberi nama ke pensil alis baru gue supaya dia nggak kabur juga. Oke, yang terakhir kurang penting ya..

Then, what if you pour too much oil in your hand? Easy, apply a little to your eyebrows using a cotton bud. Since losing eyebrow pencils in a row, I diligently used olive oil/ candle nut oil on my eyebrows, let it grow into untamed brows (well, i love it that way), and gave my new eyebrow pencil a name so that it wouldn't run away too. Okay, the last one is less important ...

PS: Sorry, I haven't had the chance to take photos of products or photos of my own hair. Because lately there is too much to do. Even this morning, I had to go back and forth to school because for the first time I left V's lunch box at home * sigh *.
