MrsBuckwheat menemukan web Kdrama ini di V Live. Tepatnya saluran Naver Webtoon. Berjudul We Are Peaceful Brothers (Oneuldo Hyeongjeneun Pyeonghwalobda), drama sepanjang 15 episode ini hanya berdurasi sekitar 4-7 menit per episodenya. Ditonton ala maraton pun nggak sampai 1 jam sudah tamat. Hehehehe...

MrsBuckwheat found a Korean web series on V Live, at Naver Webtoon channel. Titled, We Are Peaceful Brothers (Oneuldo Hyeongjeneun Pyeonghwalobda), this 15-episodes web series only lasts about 4-7 minutes per episode. I watch it continuously and finish it in less than 1 hour. Ha-ha...


Diangkat dari webtoon dengan judul sama, We Are Peaceful Brothers bercerita tentang dua bersaudara Lee Yoon, seorang desainer lepas, dan Lee Sang, adiknya yang masih SMA. Meski berbeda usia 8 tahun, keduanya kurang akur. Kepribadian mereka sangat berbeda. Lee Yoon justru sering bertingkah kekanakan dan random. Sementara karakter Lee Sang cukup mencerminkan remaja 18 tahun pada umumnya.

Based on a webtoon with the same title, We Are Peaceful Brothers tells the story of two brothers Lee Yoon, a freelance designer, and Lee Sang, his high school brother. Even though their age gap is 8 years old apart, both of them don't get along well. Their personalities are very different. Lee Yoon actually often acts childish and weird. While Lee Sang's character reflects the 18-year-old high schooler in general.


Asli web Kdrama ini kocak banget! Dari awal episode pertama, gue sudah cekikikan nggak jelas nontonnya. Lee Yoon menyapa seorang gadis cantik di jalan. Gadis itu menoleh dan terlihat sumringah saat melihat wajahnya. Mendadak Lee Sang menyela, ia mengatakan bahwa Lee Yoon telah memiliki kekasih. Mematikan pasaran kakaknya itu. Tapi rupanya, sang kakak juga tak rela jika hanya dirinya yang rugi, tiba-tiba Lee Yoon dengan gugup berkata, "Ya, kami berkencan." Otomatis kesempatan keduanya hangus sudah, si gadis pergi meninggalkan mereka.

This web series is really funny! From the beginning of the first episode, I giggle a lot while watching it. Lee Yoon greets a beautiful girl on the street. The girl turns her head and looks happy when she sees his face. Suddenly Lee Sang interrupts, saying that Lee Yoon already has a girlfriend. Turning off his brother appeal. But apparently, the elder brother is also not willing to lost alone. Lee Yoon nervously says, "Yes, we're dating." Automatically, their chances to get the girl are vanished, she left them confused.

Adegan paling kocak / The most hilarious scene.

Atau ketika Lee Sang kehabisan tisu toilet, Lee Yoon malah menutup telinganya dengan headphone. Ia tidak mau menolong adiknya dengan dalih Lee Sang harus belajar mandiri, bagaimana kalau tiba-tiba Lee Yoon tidak ada di dunia ini. Lain cerita waktu Lee Sang dan Bora diganggu oleh sekelompok preman. Lee Yoon sigap menolong adiknya dari pukulan preman. Namun lagi-lagi hanya kesan pertama yang menggoda, adegan selanjutnya luar biasa mengenaskan.

Or, when Lee Sang runs out of toilet paper, Lee Yoon closes his ears with headphones instead. He didn't want to help his brother with excuse that Lee Sang has to be independent, what if suddenly Lee Yoon wasn't in this world anymore. And, when Lee Sang and Bora are threatened by a group of thugs. Lee Yoon quickly rescue his brother from them. But again, only the first impression that's wondrous, the next scene is extraordinarily unpredictable.



Posisi Lee Sang memang "sangat teraniaya" di mata Lee Yoon. Berprofesi sebagai desainer lepas, berwajah tampan, dan tentu saja strata umur yang lebih tinggi, membuat Lee Yoon (Steven Noh) amat seenaknya terhadap sang adik. Ia sering iseng mengganti kata sandi Wifi mereka, memukul adiknya tanpa sebab yang jelas, menikmati perhatian Bora teman perempuan sekaligus gebetan Lee Sang, menyuruh-nyuruh Lee Sang pekerjaan yang sebenarnya mudah ia lakukan sendiri.

Lee Sang's level was "very low" in Lee Yoon's eyes. Working as a freelance designer, has a handsome face, and of course being older than Lee Sang, making Lee Yoon always acts like he wish to his brother. He often casually changes their Wifi password, hit his brother for no apparent reason, enjoys Lee Sang's love interest (Bora) attention to him, and asks Lee Sang doing this-and-that, something that Lee Yoon could easily do on his own.

Karakter Lee Yoon bukan hanya dibuat tipikal seorang kakak yang suka memerintah adiknya. Sebagai laki-laki dewasa berusia 26 tahun, ia justru lebih kekanakan dibanding Lee Sang. Ia sering melakukan hal aneh dan random, mungkin pelampiasan stres dari beban pekerjaan. Beneran deh, cowok ini agak menakutkan kalau menggila ha-ha.

Lee Yoon's character is not only a brother who likes bossing his brother. As a 26-year-old adult, he is more childish than Lee Sang. He often does strange and random things, perhaps exerting stress from the workload. Really, this guy is a bit creepy when going mad ha-ha.

Selain "gila", Lee Yoon sangat disiplin, rapi, kurang mahir bermain game, narsis, dan tidak pernah pacaran.

Aside from being "crazy", Lee Yoon was very disciplined, neat, less skilled at playing games, narcissistic, and never dating.

Sementara itu, Lee Sang adalah pelajar SMA berumur 18 tahun yang hanya bisa melampiaskan rasa kesalnya terhadap sang kakak dalam khayalan-khayalannya. Dan, ia cukup puas LOL. Walaupun sangat terganggu dengan perilaku Lee Yoon, Lee Sang mencoba untuk mengerti kakaknya itu. Sayangnya, hari demi hari, ia semakin tidak mengerti keanehan Lee Yoon, sampai akhirnya ia berhenti mencoba.

Meanwhile, Lee Sang is an 18-year-old high school student who can only vent his anger towards his brother in his fantasies. And, he was quite satisfied with it LOL. Although very disturbed by Lee Yoon's behavior, Lee Sang tries to understand his brother. Unfortunately, day after day, he more and more doesn't understand Lee Yoon's weirdness, until finally he stops trying.

Karakter Lee Sang merupakan tipe adik pada umumnya. Ia tidak serta merta mengalah pada Lee Yoon. Baginya, tersenyum dan berkhayal melawan kakaknya merupakan kemenangan sendiri. Tak jarang ia kelepasan mengomel balik ke Lee Yoon. Berkali-kali juga Lee Sang berusaha "mengalahkan" Lee Yoon tapi ia hanya berhasil mengunggulinya saat bermain game.

Lee Sang's character is a younger brother in general. He doesn't entirely succumb to Lee Yoon. For him, smiling and fantasizing against his brother was his own victory. Sometimes, he nags back to Lee Yoon. He also tries several times to "beat" Lee Yoon but he only managed to outperform him while playing online game.

Lee Sang menyukai temannya, Bora. Sedangkan Bora naksir berat sama Lee Yoon. Padahal Lee Yoon akhirnya menemukan pacarnya, Kim Hee-bee, gadis yang nggak kalah aneh.

Lee Sang has a crush on his friend, Bora. While Bora really likes Lee Yoon. Meanwhile Lee Yoon finally get a girlfriend, Woo Hee-bee, a girl who is no less strange.

Lee Sang diperankan oleh Kim Min-kyu / Kim Min-kyu as Lee Sang.

Woo Hee-bee adalah gadis yang tidak marah saat smartphonenya rusak atau saat diberi hadiah setengah botol coke. Emosi dan nafsu makannya melonjak tajam ketika PMS (pre menstruation syndrome) dan ia sangat jago bermain game. Woo Hee-bee menduduki peringkat pertama untuk urusan game, disusul oleh Lee Sang, lalu Lee Yoon.

Woo Hee-bee is a girl who isn't angry when her smartphone is broken or when she get a half bottle of coke as a gift. Her emotions and appetite jumped sharply during PMS (pre menstruation syndrome) and she is a master in online game. Woo Hee-bee is ranked first for gaming skill, followed by Lee Sang, then Lee Yoon.

Gadis berambut keriting ini punya keterampilan memasak yang ajaib. Bukan rasanya tidak enak, melainkan dekorasi menunya yang super horor. Dan tidak seperti Lee Yoon, Woo Hee-bee cukup nyambung dengan Lee Sang tapi dia galak sama adiknya sendiri.

This curly haired girl has an extraordinary cooking skill. No, it doesn't taste bad, but the dishes decorations are super horror. And unlike Lee Yoon, Woo Hee-bee is able get along with Lee Sang but she's fierce with her own brother.

Dapatkah Lee Sang beradaptasi dengan hadirnya Woo Hee-bee di antara ia dan Lee Yoon? Bisakah Bora menyingkirkan Woo Hee-bee dari sisi Lee Yoon? Akankah Woo Hee-bee tetap tinggal bersama Lee Sang dan Lee Yoon?

Can Lee Sang adapt to the presence of Woo Hee-bee between him and Lee Yoon? Can Bora get rid of Woo Hee-bee from Lee Yoon's side? Will Woo Hee-bee stay forever with Lee Sang and Lee Yoon?

Dikemas cukup apik dan sangat kocak, web Kdrama ini memberikan akhir cerita yang tidak biasa. Adegan-adegan terakhirnya membuat gue menahan napas beberapa kali (Nggak, gue nggak nonton sambil berenang kok).

Packed quite nicely and very funny, this Korean web series gives an unusual ending. The last scenes made me hold my breath several times (No, I didn't watch it while swimming anyway).
